Branding Photo Session for a Fine-Gardening service team in the Charlottesville, Va. area
Anytime I get to go to the Crozet or Charlottesville area is a good day. Even better, when I’m asked to photograph a team of gardeners! Nature, flowers and gardening are all things that I would put at the top of my “things that I love that breathe life into me” list. So I was overjoyed when Abigail reached out to me about a branding session with her and her team.
Who is Abigail Gardens?
Abigail Gardens, based out of Crozet, Virginia, serving the Charlottesville area, meticulously maintains garden beds with a focus on annuals, perennials, containers, and fine pruning. “We aim to marry proper horticultural practices with aesthetic function in the landscape. We believe that the garden is a sacred space where humans and nature meet, and therefore we only use products that are 100% certified organic. We also have a commitment to using battery powered leaf blowers and weed-whackers only.”
A bit about their Branding Session:
Abigail Gardens wanted new team photos, and great photos of their team actually doing work, so audiences can get a true peek into what it is like to work with them. Abigail also wanted to show that she creates every garden layout by hand. They wanted to look professional and consistent, but also laid back and easy to work with. Which was easy for me to capture, because this was all true to their team.
After a quick phone consult – which I always recommend before booking – to talk logistics, planning, vision, timeline, packages, etc. (schedule yours here!), we deicide that a half day Branding photo package would be perfect for everyone to get some posed shots and a handful of branding images of the team at work.
We scheduled their session around a real job with a real client of theirs, where they update his yard every season. We started at their headquarters, where we took team photos, loaded the van and started the day with a team yoga session, which is such a great way to set the mood for the day! I thoroughly enjoyed watching this team at work.
