I’ve photographed weddings before, but I’m super excited for my very first official wedding blog post!

After shooting April and Ian’s Engagement Photos, I could not wait for their wedding day! I cannot emphasize enough how helpful it is to have the opportunity to shoot a couple before the day of their wedding, I really get a sense of who they are and how they interacted with each other – and me and my camera of course! It erases that awkward period where they are getting used to having photos taken, and makes my job much easier! Plus, I think it just helps get better photos overall.

April and Ian’s wedding and reception were held at the beautiful, historic Bolling Haxall House in downtown Richmond. It was my first time in the building, it has such a old time charm to it, perfect for a gorgeous wedding! And gorgeous it was, from the gown and bridesmaids dresses, to her choice in colors and decor to all the pretty little details.  And there was so much love in the building, from April and Ian of course, but also from all of their friends and family, everyone seemed to have such a great time and I am so happy I was able to capture those special moments for them.
