I saw this earlier today and thought, how cute, I have to make an adorable collage!
I love dogs, grew up with them and although I don’t have one right now – instead I live with two cats who are a real handful – I’d love to adopt a dog in the near future!
So at first, this was an excuse to share cute photos, then I went to the webpage and read a bit more about why this is a now an International Holiday. I am such a huge animal love, and it is so important to do what we can to help save these animals and give them loving homes when they cannot take care of themselves and are destined for a short and scared life, we can so quickly turn that around and give them a second chance at a happy life. Ok, now I really convinced myself I need a dog ASAP! 🙂
Check out my photo sessions featuring the above dogs HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE! 🙂 That’s a lot of here’s, isn’t it?!
“National Puppy Day is a special day to celebrate the magic and unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives. But more importantly, it’s a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills, as well as further our mission for a nation of puppy-free pet stores. National Puppy Day was founded in 2006 by Celebrity Pet & Home Lifestyle Expert and Author, Colleen Paige, who is also the founder of National Dog Day and National Cat Day (among many others).
National Puppy Day is actually considered an
international holiday now, as it’s trended worldwide on Twitter in 2012, 2013 & 2014. Colleen Paige has devoted her life to creating special days of recognition that improve the lives of animals and their people. For more information about the founder, please visit www.colleenpaige.com“
