Today I’ll share with you a Sweet Briar College Fall Engagement photo shoot!

This has got to be one of my favs. It was my first time on Sweet Briar’s campus and I must say it is an amazing place! So beautiful, so much to see and do and we had tons of fun, especially when we went down to the lake! From the rolling hills to the beautiful architecture, a horse farm, fall foliage and canoes, this was the most perfect place for an engagement shoot.

We started out with some simple and sweet photos with their adorable pup, look at that sweet face!

Then we drove down to the stable area for some country inspired shots, where the sun was just perfect!

And we met a horse! Gosh do I love meeting a horse, sounds silly, but it’s always so true. He was beautiful and very friendly, and I love how he posed with them!

Then off to this cute green barn filled with bales of hay. Seriously, this place is a southern girl’s dream location.

And can we just talk about this ring for a second?? GORGEOUS in aquamarine, Unique and beautiful just like the bride!

Now on to my favorite part of the session. When she told me there was a lake, and knowing they are adventurous, we both agreed right away that we HAD to do some canoe photos. I absolutely love lakes, rivers, and general outdoor things and I have always wanted to shoot photos in canoes, so I was beyond excited about this!

So here is the point that I got in the canoe with them. We all forgot how wobbly and unstable they feel! Especially when holding thousands of dollars worth of equipment and only being able to hold on with one hand. There were some funny moments, and we had a blast!

There was a high deck on the boathouse which was perfect for some above shots. Any chance I find to get some cool and different angles I’m going to take it!

This is one of my favorite shots, it’s just so cute. It is kind of a miracle no one ever fell in, haha
